Shifts Available
Role An Armed Security Officer protects people and property by enforcing security procedures, performing patrols, monitoring surveillance, verifying access, and responding to emergencies. The position requires firearm licensing and training, sound judgment, professionalism, accurate reporting, coordination with law enforcement, and the ability to remain calm, alert, and customer-focused under pressure.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Armed Tennessee Security Officer License (or ability to obtain)
Must be 21+ years old
Completion of Armed training and valid pistol permit
1+ years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience
Duties & Responsibilities
Security Operations
Conduct walking patrols to enhance safety and report concerns
Monitor access points; verify identification and credentials
Enforce security procedures and Post Instructions
Incident Response & Reporting
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
Maintain detailed activity and incident logs
Perform routine tasks: lock/unlock doors, manage security systems, monitor surveillance feeds
Customer Service & Professionalism
Assist visitors and employees professionally
Enforce SEI and client policies (smoking, loitering, parking, etc.)
Maintain a clean, well-pressed uniform and professional appearance
Required Skills & Abilities
Perform effectively in fast-paced, potentially stressful environments
Weekend availability when needed
Strong situational awareness and curiosity
Ability to stay calm, problem-solve, and act effectively in critical situations
Basic computer skills and tablet-based reporting
Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements
Stand or sit for at least 1 hour without support
Walk at least ½ mile without stopping
Climb 20 commercial stairs without stopping
Education & Experience
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: 3+ years verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience
