Job Description
George Fox University's Department of Theology is seeking a half-time, teaching-track (non-tenure) faculty member in Christian Ministries and Theology to begin in August 2026. We seek applicants with the ability to teach a broad range of undergraduate theology courses, giving priority to candidates with ministry experience and academic expertise in one or more of the following areas: cross-cultural and global missions/missiology, practical theology, biblical theology, or church history.

George Fox University, a Christ-centered community dedicated to excellence in liberal arts and professional education, invites applications for a half-time, teaching-track position in Christian Ministries and Theology beginning in Fall 2026. Applicants should hold a terminal degree (PhD or DMin) and demonstrate excellence as pastor-theologians and teachers. (MDiv or ABD applicants may be considered in rare cases if they have a compelling track record of ministry experience and high-level scholarship.) We seek candidates who can teach with creativity and excellence in a variety of contexts, including large introductory lecture courses (more than 100 students) and smaller, upper-level ministry-focused courses. We particularly welcome applicants with a specialization in areas such as cross-cultural and global missions/missiology, practical theology, biblical theology, or church history.
