Job Title: Manager, Programs (Clinical Program Manager)

Job Classification: Manager, Programs Reports To: Director of Clinical Services Department: Programs

Job Type: [Full-time]

Salary Range: 80K – 85K, plus competitive benefits

Objective of Role: The Clinical Manager is responsible for supervising the day to day operations of the Clinical Department. She/he assists the Director with program design and implementation, coordinates programming such as groups, workshops, and staff schedules for his/her department and assures that services are being delivered according to program expectations. The Clinical Program Manager leads the implementation and guidance of evidence based practices and provides supervision to enhance the skill set of all staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the day to day operations of the clinical department, establishing effective and efficient operations in accordance with organization and state regulations.
  • Manage the clinical staff through hiring, orientation, training and total performance management ensuring the provision of comprehensive and integrated services.
  • Direct clinical supervision and professional development training for
  • Assist staff with diagnoses, treatment planning decisions and counseling
  • Develop systems and processes that ensure a person centered/integrated treatment approach for all participants
  • When needed, manage a caseload of participants
  • Review and edit court reports, treatment plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and all necessary clinical documentation for accuracy, clinical efficacy, and grammatical errors.
  • Ensure when referring participants outside of the organization, clients are warmly handed off to their next level of care and services.
  • Review and report chart compliance with a goal of maintaining 100%
  • Review Electronic Health Records and make recommendations for quality treatment episodes
  • Monitor high risk cases and provide clinical recommendations on evidenced-based interventions and
  • Ensure all clinical programming is efficient and supports the overall program
  • Supervise student interns as either Task Supervisor or Field
  • Facilitates team meetings, case conferences, and staff trainings as needed
  • Complete reporting requirements such as individual sessions completed monthly
  • Complete grant requirements, overviews, and lead contractual obligations
  • Maximize our partnership with The Child Center of NY
  • Handle other duties as assigned by Program Director

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working with organizations serving young people who have been impacted by or are at risk of contact with the legal system and individuals from marginalized communities
  • Strong program and event development, implementation, and team building skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal, engagement, and relationship building skills with internal and external audiences
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and ability to learn GOSO’s Salesforce database.
  • Works independently and demonstrates initiative, discretion, and good judgment

Qualifications:

  • Must have LCSW (SIFI is a bonus)
  • 3-5 years of experience of nonprofit project management
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred or equivalent work experience
  • A passion for criminal and racial justice
  • Strong conceptual, planning, organizing, reporting, writing, computer and organizational skills to support strategy, planning, and implementation
