Position Database Architect

Job Summary
- Design, develop, and implement relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms, primarily in Azure.
- Lead technical initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across various divisions and organizational levels.
- Architect and manage enterprise data solutions using Azure services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
- Develop and implement data transformation and cloud infrastructure integration solutions.
- Utilize CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub) and Agile project tracking tools (Jira) for efficient project delivery.
- Code, test, and deploy data loading scripts and programs using Azure data utilities.
- Mentor team members on database technologies, cloud tools, and best practices.
- Administer backup, recovery, security, and access controls, including role-based access, encryption, and network security.
- Monitor and optimize database performance using tools like Azure Monitor, SQL Analytics, and Query Performance Insight.
- Manage and support Oracle databases and Teradata Data Warehouse environments as needed.
- Apply knowledge of data concepts, modeling, schema design, and indexing strategies for optimal database performance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and support continuous improvement in data architecture and management.
- Stay current with cloud computing concepts and emerging Azure technologies.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
