AGX, Inc. is a multi-disciplined environmental consulting company serving a diverse range of clients in the tri-state area. We are currently seeking applicants to fill several Environmental Technician positions.

Duties of this position may include but are not limited to:

• Air monitoring for compliance with OSHA and EPA standards
• Air, dust, and soil sampling
• Assessment of air quality to determine health hazards
• Personal air monitoring to determine exposure levels
• Project oversight
• Inspecting facilities for the presence of asbestos containing materials
• Noise testing
• Analytical sampling of air and bulk samples

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Candidate must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and physical
• Must be able to pass a criminal background clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• OSHA 10-hour training or equivalent
• Experience working in an industrial setting
• Available to work shifts, weekends, and overnight stays

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office and various applications
• Ability to work individually and with teams
• Demonstrates a positive, self-motivated attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Environmental Technician position is physically demanding, which may require employees to do the following:

• Traverse stairways ladders, and rough terrain
• Wear a respirator and pass a respirator clearance exam
• Walk long distances
• Work in extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditions
• Access crawl spaces and confined space environments

Job Type: Full-time / Salary: From $18.00 per hour
