The Medical College of Wisconsin 's Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is seeking an academically oriented board certified/eligible Glaucoma Specialist to join our expanding team. This position will be located at the Eye Institute, Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital Campus).  We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care

• Primary work locations will be at the Eye Institute, Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital Campus) and possibly one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics.

• Faculty members also provide clinical coverage at the Childrens Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center.

• Ample opportunities to teach Ophthalmology residents. 

• Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate.

• Full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

• Provide coverage during core business hours with some flexibility required, as necessary, to accommodate business needs. 

• Comprehensive Patient Care: Nationally and internationally recognized physicians provide state-of-the-art diagnosis and management of complex medical and surgical eye diseases, routine eye care, and cosmetic treatments across the Eye Institute, Childrens Wisconsin, Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, and Froedtert & MCW health centers.

• Innovative Vision Research: Physicians and scientists integrate cutting-edge research with clinical expertise to advance the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of vision-threatening diseases, supported by the National Eye Institute (NIH) and Research to Prevent Blindness, Inc.

• Commitment to Education: Faculty actively teach across medical, graduate, and postdoctoral programs, offering a four-year ophthalmology residency and fellowships in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery, orbital and oculoplastic surgery, and pediatric ophthalmology.

• Continuing Medical Education: The department provides ongoing professional development through Grand Rounds, lecture series, and scientific symposiums for regional physicians.

• Must be a licensed MD or equivalent.

• Candidates must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

• Completion of a U.S. Glaucoma Fellowship program.

• Eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.
