Description: This position is an extension for an existing employee. The role involves assisting with laboratory customer services. Candidates must have prior experience in phlebotomy and laboratory assistance. Experience with patient specimen collection and processing is required. Familiarity with blood specimen storage and medical records review is necessary. The candidate should be knowledgeable about the proper collection and preservation of laboratory specimens. Experience in prioritizing patient collections based on urgency is essential. The role requires the use of various laboratory tubes and understanding the mode of action of additives in blood collection. Data entry and proper labeling of specimens are important tasks in this position. Standard precautions and transmission-based precautions must be followed. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced lab environment is required. Experience with charting systems is preferred. The candidate must be compliant with all vaccination requirements.
