MENTAL HEALTH TECH - 16-WEEK CONTRACT Location: Savannah, GA
Job Type: 16-Week Contracts
Pay: $18/hour depending on experience
Shifts Available: 7a-7p & 7p-7a

Job Description - Responds to patients call for assistance
- Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs.
- Bathes, grooms, shaves, and dresses clients.
- Conducts activities for recreation and socialization.
- Ensures safety and security of clients.
- Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves.
- Observes and documents patient data, behavior, and activity.
- Prepares clients for treatment or examination.
- Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines.
- Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
- Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients.
- Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units.
- Consistently utilize the principles of the recovery model when engaging Patients.
- Maintain acceptable standards of patient care consistent with Joint Commission, CMS, and Department policies, including diet and physical activity.
- Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with Supplier leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
- Responds to hospital codes as appropriate.
- Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors.
Position Requirements - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Professional References
- Two (2) years of experience providing basic patient care in a psychiatric setting
