Pet Volunteers and Certified Therapy Dogs Wanted to Visit Our Patients
Do you have an exceptional dog who can be trained (or is already therapy certified) to provide pet
therapy for our patients and other residents at facilities that we serve? Pet therapy provides the
most amazing and unique connection between animals (usually dogs) and patients with physical
and/or mental health conditions, especially at end of life.
Animals may be able to provide comfort, start a conversation about memories of a beloved pet or
even help those who may no longer speak (such as dementia patients) to find their "voice" of love
with an animal.
You and your pet would BOTH be Amedisys Volunteers.
Can't wait to meet you!
