In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community. The New York City (NYC) Administration for Children’s Services’ (ACS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for providing high quality, reliable, and sustainable technology services, and support to meet the needs of the families and children we serve through ACS, its vendor partners and other City agencies. The Digital Product Strategy and Solutions (DPSS) unit advances OIT’s mission by translating vetted ideas into scalable, user-centered digital products. With a focus on product strategy, delivery discipline, and outcomes, the unit ensures that technology solutions improve services for children, families, and frontline staff across the agency. OIT is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Platform Developer Undergraduate Intern to join our Digital Product Strategy and Solutions Unit. Additionally, as a member of the 2026, ACS Summer Internship Program cohort, you will participate in an enrichment program designed to fully engage students into the ACS and NYC government experience. Internship programming includes professional development workshops, lunch and learns, speaker events, NYC government tours, and networking opportunities. Key Responsibilities Application Development and Design: Contribute to building cloud-based applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Portal, Microsoft Dynamics, and Salesforce, adhering to various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Hybrid Agile. Learning Outcomes Develop a strong understanding of IT application development processes and broader IT operations within a government environment. Strengthen your abilities to coordinate and execute organizational tasks in a professional setting.
