The State Group is seeking a Safety Coordinator to work at our Beltline Electric company in Paducah, Kentucky. Beltline Electric is a trusted electrical contractor specializing in industrial and commercial projects. Since 1957, they’ve provided expert services in power systems, automation, and maintenance across the region.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Represent Beltline and The State Group in safety and risk compliance.
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and audits.
  • Identify safety trends and improvement opportunities for management, field teams, customers, and employees.
  • Lead accident investigations and perform root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to worker safety concerns, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Participate in project planning meetings with construction supervision.
  • Maintain health and safety communication structures.
  • Monitor and manage all safety-related documentation.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve subcontractor safety plans for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Conduct site-specific safety orientations, training sessions, and toolbox talks.
  • Verify compliance with Electrical Safety Codes and regulations.
  • Perform risk assessments for upcoming critical work, including confined space, energized electrical work, and critical crane lifts.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience required.
  • Degree in safety or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Safety Card required.
  • OSHA 500, STSC, CHST, OHST, CHSC, GSP, ASP, CSP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Professionalism and conduct that reflect the organization’s core values.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to train, educate, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to professionally manage a fast‑paced, dynamic, and change‑oriented environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
