Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-obsessed Senior Accountant / Financial Reviewer to serve as our principal technical gatekeeper for client financial delivery. In this specialized, high-responsibility role, you will take absolute ownership of auditing financial statements before they are released to business owners. This is an independent contributor track rather than a supervisory seat, requiring deep-dive technical accounting execution and sharp independent judgment. You will review general ledgers, verify complex reconciliations, and evaluate advanced transactions across both accrual and cash basis frameworks to ensure flawless GAAP compliance. Key Responsibilities

• In-Depth Financial Statement Review: Comprehensive audit of client financial portfolios for accuracy, closing gaps, and ensuring complete GAAP compliance prior to client delivery.
• Ledger & Transaction Analysis: Verify balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, deferred expenses, prepaids, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and payroll splits.
• Dual-Basis System Auditing: Evaluate transaction entries fluidly across both accrual-basis and cash-basis accounting reporting structures.
• Review Note Defect Triage: Detect ledger discrepancies or missing financial information, authoring clear, professional correction notes for processing bookkeepers.
• Pipeline Adjustment Follow-up: Track review notes and systematically verify that all required balance adjustments are accurately implemented by the fulfillment team.
• Data Manipulation & Integrity: Use advanced spreadsheet operations to manipulate large, unstructured client financial datasets, ensuring total account reconciliation support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified professional history running senior accounting pipelines, corporate financial analysis, or public ledger management.
• Minimum of 2+ years of explicit experience dedicated to **financial statement review prior to client delivery**.
• Direct, hands-on expert-level operational proficiency navigating **QuickBooks Online**.
• Deep technical command over GAAP accounting principles and experience handling complex entries (accruals, multi-tier payroll allocations, and asset depreciation).
• Advanced Excel skills, with a proven capacity to independently structure, analyze, and audit large financial sheets.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, optimized to pass professional feedback notes to distributed team members.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first full-time framework restricted exclusively to qualified financial professionals permanently operating within the Philippines .
