Job Description

Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a passion for supporting student communication and development. This contract opportunity near Killeen, TX, offers flexible arrangements with both full-time and part-time options. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in helping children thrive in their educational environment.


The position is open to SLPA professionals with an active Texas state license (required by the start date). Caseload age preferences can be discussed during the interview process, ensuring that your experience and interests align with student needs. As part of this role, you'll collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and school teams to deliver effective speech and language interventions.


Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Texas SLPA license (or be eligible and ready to obtain by the assignment start date)
  • Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student abilities
  • Eager to collaborate with educators and families to promote student success
Responsibilities:
  • Implement speech therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP
  • Work with children addressing articulation, language, fluency, and social communication goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and student progress reports
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Adjust therapy techniques to support student growth and engagement
