Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Portland, OR

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Full-Time | 5x8-Hour Shifts

Shift: Night Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Workdays: Friday - Tuesday
Position Overview

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical and clinical teams by ensuring proper sterilization and preparation of medical instruments. The ideal candidate will have experience with sterile processing systems and a strong understanding of infection control standards.
Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Prepare and assemble instrument trays according to established guidelines
• Operate sterilization equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Maintain accurate records using electronic charting systems (Epic)
• Ensure adherence to infection control and sterilization standards
• Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to meet procedural needs
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of sterile supplies

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Prior experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred
• Knowledge of Sterile Processing Management (SPM) systems preferred
• Robotics experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Block schedule required
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• No floating between units
• 48-hour work weeks not approved
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius for travel eligibility
