Bower's Trucking is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
Truck Dispatcher to join our fast-growing transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, communicating with drivers and brokers, maximizing truck profitability, and ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and coordinate drivers for daily freight operations.
- Source and book profitable loads through load boards and broker relationships.
- Negotiate freight rates to maximize revenue and minimize deadhead miles.
- Monitor driver locations and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers regarding load updates.
- Manage load documentation, rate confirmations, and dispatch records.
- Resolve issues related to delays, breakdowns, and route changes.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Truck Dispatcher, Freight Dispatcher, or Logistics Coordinator preferred.
- Strong knowledge of load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
- Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with dispatch software.
- Knowledge of trucking regulations and freight operations.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
