The Department of Veterans Affairs Alexandria VA Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist- Behavioral health Interdisciplinary program (40 hours/week; 80 hours/pay period) for the Alexandria VA Health Care System. Staff Psychologist provides direct patient care, teaching/training services, and program evaluation/outcomes services. They effectively communicate with a wide range of other mental health providers, healthcare staff and facility leadership. The psychologist utilizes existing empirically supported assessment, evidence-based intervention, and consultation with patients experiencing a wide range of medical conditions.4

Work Schedule:   Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm; subject to change based on the need of the agency.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non-citizen candidates*)
2. Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
3. Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
4. Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA
5. Knowledge of, and ability to apply, professional psychological treatments to the full range of patient populations.
6. Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health.
7. Active Board Certification (or considered Board Certification eligible) in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP/ABCN) or American Board of Neuropsychology (ABN).(Preferred)
8. Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our veterans.
